Tammy joined Jay Trucks & Associates, P.C. in October 2000 as a legal secretary in the Workers’ Compensation Department. She later transferred to the Personal Injury/Litigation Department, where she worked for four years, and then returned to serving the clients’ needs in the Workers’ Compensation Department.
Tammy joined the Paralegal program at Great Lakes Junior College (Davenport) before transferring to Mid Michigan Community College. She graduated in May 2000, earning an Associate in Business degree as a Legal Office Professional. During her schooling, she served as a work-study employee for the Undersheriff of Clare County in the Criminal Justice & Law Enforcement Program.
Prior to joining the firm, Tammy worked as a legal assistant to David J. Gilbert, Attorney at Law, for one year.
Tammy assists in filing claims, organizing and preparing files for trial, processing data entry, scheduling appointments, and communicating with clients, operating well in a team-oriented (and oftentimes stressful) atmosphere that demands excellent client observance.
Tammy has served on the Mid Michigan Community College Advisory Board since 2003, which also allows her to serve the needs of students entering the job market.
