Carmen joined the firm in January 1999 as a co-op student from Mid Michigan Community College. She graduated in May 1999 with honors. She earned her Associate’s Degrees in Business as a Medical Secretary/Office Professional and as a Legal Secretary/Office Professional.

Before coming to Jay Trucks & Associates, P.C., she worked as an Admissions secretary in the Admissions Office at Mid Michigan Community College. Carmen is responsible for the duties required in the litigation department as a legal secretary.

She is assigned to a number of cases in our personal injury department. Here it is her job to make sure files remain updated at all times and that all documents are prepared and filed within the time limits set by the court. An important aspect of her job is to keep the client informed about his/her case and to try and answer any questions he/she may have regarding his/her case. Carmen’s interests outside the job include reading, spending time with family, and playing basketball.
