Three decades ago, while finishing a Bachelor of Arts degree at Central Michigan University, Jay Trucks decided to go to law school. He earned his degree, Juris Doctor with Honors, from Detroit College of Law and moved to Clare, Michigan to set up practice. In 1979, with two decades of general legal experience and a firm commitment to representing the common man, he focused his practice entirely on personal injury cases. Those who have worked with Jay are impressed by his honesty, integrity, and exceptional capabilities as an attorney. Jay describes himself simply - as a straightforward person who works very hard for his clients.

For over ten years Jay served as Prosecuting Attorney. A member of Michigan Trial Lawyers Association and American Trial Lawyers Association, Jay currently practices with his son, Todd, in the firm Jay Trucks & Associates.
Jay's hobbies include: biking, rollerblading, sailing, and walking.
