Pennie Smit, Legal Secretary

Pennie joined the firm in March 2011 as a legal secretary in the Workers’ Compensation Department. Pennie completed a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University and majored in a human service field that will prove beneficial to her position.

Prior to this employment, Pennie worked as an Administrative Assistant for a local transportation business, where she developed superior customer service skills that will allow her to provide in-depth, knowledgeable, and courteous service to her clients in a timely manner. Because the Workers’ Compensation system is, at times, challenging to maneuver through, the firm believes that Pennie will add further motivation and enthusiasm to her clients, which will help them to get through the difficult times. Also, Pennie looks forward to assisting the attorneys and her fellow staff members in an expedient and thorough manner that will ultimately benefit the clients of this firm.

Pennie enjoys the warmer months of the year, when she can get out and work on flower and gardening projects and spend time with her favorite dog named “Punky Boo.”
